Hello! I’m Shiwan Ibrahim, a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). My path as a therapist began with a strong commitment to supporting those in need, particularly immigrants and refugees. These experiences shaped my trauma-informed approach and inspired my dedication to helping individuals navigate mental health challenges.
I focus on creating a warm, welcoming, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel truly seen and heard. I believe that healing begins with a compassionate, respectful therapeutic relationship. My approach to therapy is grounded in evidence-based methods, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), trauma-informed care, grief-informed therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Gottman-informed techniques. I tailor each approach to fit the unique needs of every client, creating a personalized and comprehensive therapeutic experience.

Men’s Mental Health:
I am deeply committed to supporting the distinct mental health needs of men. Whether you are facing stress, anxiety, depression, or challenges with expressing emotions, I provide a safe and nonjudgmental space to explore and work through these concerns openly and without stigma.
Trauma and Grief Counselling:
With a compassionate and trauma-informed approach, I support clients in processing their experiences and emotions related to trauma and loss. My focus is gentle, empathetic, and centered on helping individuals build resilience and find a path toward healing.
