I also integrate Narrative Therapy into my work, recognizing the powerful role that personal stories play in shaping identity and meaning. This approach is especially helpful in addressing trauma, as it supports you in processing your experiences, reshaping unhelpful narratives, and restoring a sense of control and empowerment.
Mindfulness-based approaches are an important part of my therapeutic work. These practices encourage present-moment awareness and self-acceptance, helping to ease stress and strengthen emotional regulation. By incorporating mindfulness into our sessions, we can create space for greater clarity, fresh insight, and more balanced responses to life’s challenges.
I hold a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Guelph. My academic training provided a strong foundation in mental health theory and evidence-based practice. During this time, I worked with diverse populations facing a broad range of concerns, which deepened my commitment to a holistic and individualized approach to care.
My goal as a therapist is to help you move through challenges and work toward meaningful personal goals. I view therapy as a collaborative process of insight, growth, and self-discovery. Together, we will explore the difficulties you’re facing, build on your strengths, and develop practical strategies to support a more balanced and fulfilling life.
It is deeply meaningful to witness clients gain clarity, strengthen coping skills, and experience positive change. Seeing that growth unfold continues to inspire and motivate my work. I remain committed to creating a therapeutic experience that feels supportive, empowering, and purposeful.
Our work will focus on cultivating a strong therapeutic relationship, identifying realistic goals, and applying practical tools you can use beyond our sessions. I value your input and encourage open feedback to ensure our approach aligns with your needs and preferences. Thank you for taking the time to learn about my practice. I look forward to supporting you on your path toward greater well-being—please feel free to reach out with any questions or to schedule a session.
